# NoFluffPicks Stats metric glossary

Short definitions of metrics used on public NoFluffPicks Stats pages.

| Metric |Meaning |Notes |
| --- |--- |--- |
| BTTS |Both teams scored |BTTS shows how often both sides scored in the analyzed match sample. We use it as historical goal context, not as a public betting pick. |
| Over 0.5 |At least one goal in the match |Over 0.5 is met when a match has at least one goal. In league or team statistics it means the share of matches with that outcome. |
| Over 1.5 |At least two goals in the match |Over 1.5 shows how often matches finished with two or more goals. It is a basic signal for the goal tempo of a league, team or match profile. |
| Over 2.5 |At least three total goals |Over 2.5 is reached when a soccer game finishes with three or more total goals. NoFluffPicks Stats shows the share of completed games that crossed this line. |
| Over 3.5 |At least four goals in the match |Over 3.5 describes clearly high-scoring matches. It helps separate very open leagues and teams from those that only clear lower goal lines. |
| Over 4.5 |At least five goals in the match |Over 4.5 covers very open matches. We use it mainly as extra context because the sample is usually smaller than for 1.5 or 2.5 lines. |
| Under 1.5 |No more than one goal in the match |Under 1.5 shows the share of very low-scoring matches. A high value suggests a league or team with limited goal volume. |
| Under 2.5 |No more than two goals in the match |Under 2.5 is the reverse of the popular Over 2.5 line. It helps judge whether past matches usually stayed low or medium scoring. |
| xG |Expected goals |Expected goals (xG) estimates the quality of scoring chances rather than the final score. For example, 1.40 xG represents chances worth roughly one to two goals on average. |
| xGA |Expected goals against |Expected goals against (xGA) estimates the quality of chances a team allowed. Lower xGA generally means opponents created less dangerous opportunities. |
| xPts |Expected points |xPts are points estimated from chance quality, usually from the xG distribution. They do not replace the real table, but help show whether results match performance. |
| PPG |Points per game |PPG is total points divided by matches played. It makes teams easier to compare when they have played a different number of matches. |
| W-D-L |Wins, draws, losses |W-D-L is the basic result record. It corresponds to Z-R-P in Polish and keeps the same order: wins, draws and losses. |
| Form |Recent team results |Form summarizes a team's latest results, usually its last five games. It provides recent context and is not a prediction of the next game. |
| Form standings |Ranking based on recent games |Form standings compare teams using only their latest games, usually the last five. They can differ from the full-season standings. |
| Clean sheet |No goals allowed |A clean sheet is a game in which a team allows no goals. A 0-0 draw counts as a clean sheet for both teams. |
| Failed to score |No goal scored |Failed to score means the team did not score in a completed match. A high percentage can point to attacking problems. |
| Goals scored / match |Average goals scored |This metric shows how many goals a team scores on average per match. It is calculated from completed matches, so it should be read together with sample size. |
| Goals conceded / match |Average goals conceded |Shows how many goals a team concedes on average per match. A lower value usually indicates a more stable defense. |
| Average goals / match |Total average goals |Average goals per match describes the goal tempo of a league, team or match sample. It is total goals divided by completed matches. |
| Goal difference |Goals scored minus goals conceded |Goal difference gives a quick view of team balance. A positive value means the team scores more than it concedes. |
| Home wins |Home-team wins |The share of home wins shows how strong home advantage is in a league or match sample. |
| Draws |Drawn matches |The draw percentage shows how often matches finish without a winner. It helps describe league balance and result profile. |
| Away wins |Away-team wins |The share of away wins shows how often visiting teams win. Together with home wins it describes the result structure of a league. |
| H2H |Head-to-head games |H2H is the game history between two specific teams. Read it together with current form, roster context and season stats. |
| HT/FT |Half-time and full-time result |HT/FT describes the match scenario from half-time to full-time. For example, X/1 means draw at half-time and home win after 90 minutes. |
| First-half goals |Goals before half-time |This metric shows how often and how many goals are scored in the first half. It helps judge whether a team or league starts matches actively. |
| Second-half goals |Goals after half-time |Shows the goal tempo after the break. It is useful when a team often decides matches late. |
| Goal before half-time |Match with a first-half goal |This indicator shows in how many matches at least one goal was scored before half-time. It is a simple view of the first 45 minutes. |
| Goals by minute |Goal distribution by time segment |Shows in which match periods a team most often scores or concedes. We use ranges such as 0-15, 16-30, 31-45 and later. |
| Shots / match |Average number of shots |Shots per match show attacking activity, but not chance quality by themselves. They are best read with xG and shots on target. |
| Shots on target / match |Average shots on target |Shots on target narrow attacking activity to attempts that force a save or result in a goal. |
| Corners / match |Average corner kicks |Corners describe territorial pressure and how often attacks end with the ball cleared behind the goal line. They are not the same as chance quality. |
| Cards / match |Average cards |Cards per match describe discipline and match intensity. A high value may come from playing style, league profile or refereeing. |
| Standings |Current season ranking |The standings show each team's actual points, record and position in the season. They come from completed games, not a model rating. |
| Team rankings |Metric leaderboards |Rankings show the strongest or weakest teams in specific categories such as attack, defense, BTTS, Over 2.5, clean sheets, corners and cards. |
| Attack leader |Team with the highest goal average |The attack leader is the team scoring the most goals per match in a league or ranking. |
| Best defense |Team allowing the fewest goals |The best defense is the team with the lowest goals allowed per game. Compare it with xGA when expected-goals data is available. |
| 1X2 odds |Odds for home win, draw and away win |1X2 means the three basic match outcomes: home win, draw or away win. We show odds as market information, not as a public reveal of a pick. |
| Percentage chances |Outcome probability |Percentage chances describe a probability estimate. Before kickoff we hide selected model chances publicly when they could reveal the pick. |
| Pick scoring |Strength rating of a pick |Pick scoring is an internal quality rating of the betting signal in the NoFluffPicks app. The public stats site does not reveal it before the match. |
| Value |Value versus the odds |Value is the difference between our probability estimate and bookmaker odds. Positive value can point to a long-term edge, but it does not guarantee a single-match result. |
| Confidence |Signal confidence level |Confidence describes how strongly the model supports a direction. On public pre-match pages we do not show it, so the private pick is not exposed. |
| Historical statistic |Data from past matches |Describes completed matches: goals, results, form, BTTS, Over/Under and other measurable events. It is not a private model pick. |
| Model prediction |Private NoFluffPicks betting signal |A model prediction is an assessment of a future event. On the public site we show statistical context before the match; full picks and reasoning are in the app. |
| Over 8.5 corners / Over 9.5 corners / Over 10.5 corners |See how often the team wins corners, concedes them and crosses the main total-corners lines. |Over 8.5 means at least nine total corners, Over 9.5 at least ten and Over 10.5 at least eleven. Percentages use completed matches with recorded corner data. |
| Total cards per match: 3.5 / 4.5 |Compare the team's cards with its opponents' cards, including how often either side receives a red card. |Over 3.5 means at least four recorded cards in total and Over 4.5 at least five. Read these rates with the match sample and the league or referee context. |
| Offsides |Average offsides per match |Shows how often a team is caught offside on average. It can reflect attacking movement and the opponent's defensive line, but does not measure chance quality by itself. |
| Strength of recent opponents |Recent results make more sense when you also know how strong the opponents have been. |Calculated from the league PPG and positions of opponents in the selected recent-match window. The difficulty band is historical context, not a forecast of the next result. |
| xG per shot |Average expected-goal value of one shot |xG per shot is total xG divided by the number of shots. A higher value means the average attempt came from a more promising situation; it is shown only when both inputs are recorded. |
| Percentile |See where this player stands out against others in the same position this season. |An 80th percentile means the value is at least as high as that of roughly 80% of comparable players in the same position and season. It is neither a probability nor the raw statistic itself. |
| League style |See whether this league tends to produce fast, open or physical matches and how much home advantage matters. |The profile combines pace, chance quality, home advantage, match intensity, openness and competitive balance. Labels are relative to leagues with a sufficient data sample. |
| Player appearances and minutes |How often and how long a player took part |Appearances count verified match participation, starts show selection in the starting lineup, and minutes measure actual time on the pitch. Read them together to understand a player's role and sample size. |
| Average player rating |Mean match-performance rating |The average rating combines the match ratings available for a player in the selected season. It is useful as a summary, but should be read with minutes, appearances and role. |
| Goal involvements |Goals plus assists |Goal involvements combine goals and assists. The per-90 version adjusts the total for playing time, making players with different minute totals easier to compare. |
| Statistics per 90 minutes |A rate standardised to a full match |A per-90 value divides a player's total by minutes played and multiplies it by 90. It improves comparisons, but small samples can produce unstable rates. |
| Player shots |Attempts and shots on target |Total shots describe shooting volume. Shots on target narrow that volume to attempts that required a save or became a goal; neither measure replaces chance quality such as xG. |
| Shot accuracy and conversion |How often shots find the target or become goals |Shot accuracy is shots on target divided by all shots. Conversion is goals divided by all shots. Both percentages are sensitive to role and sample size. |
| Non-penalty xG (npxG) |Expected goals excluding penalties |npxG removes penalty value from expected goals. It gives a cleaner view of the quality of chances a player reaches in open play and other non-penalty situations. |
| Expected assists (xA) |Chance quality created for teammates |xA estimates how likely passes made by a player were to become assists. It measures chance creation even when the receiving player does not finish the opportunity. |
| Player passing |Pass volume, completed passes and completion rate |Pass totals describe involvement in possession. Pass completion is completed passes divided by attempted passes and should be interpreted with role, pass difficulty and field position. |
| Key passes and crosses |Passes that create shots and deliveries into attacking areas |A key pass directly creates a shot. Crosses are deliveries from wide areas. Together they add context to assists and xA, but do not carry identical chance quality. |
| Player dribbling |Attempts to beat an opponent while controlling the ball |Dribble totals show how often a player takes on opponents. Successful dribbles and their percentage show how often those attempts were completed. |
| Defensive actions |Tackles, interceptions, clearances and blocks |These actions describe different parts of defending: winning the ball, cutting out passes, removing danger and stopping attempts. Role and team style strongly affect the totals. |
| Duels won |Ground and aerial contests won by a player |Duels cover direct contests for the ball. The win percentage adds efficiency to the raw total, while aerial duels isolate challenges in the air. |
| Goalkeeper statistics |Saves, save percentage, penalties saved and clean sheets |Saves show interventions, while save percentage compares saves with shots on target faced. Clean sheets and penalties saved add context but also depend on team defending. |
| Player discipline |Cards, fouls and penalties |Yellow and red cards describe sanctions. Fouls drawn and committed show involvement in contact, while penalty totals record successful, missed or saved spot kicks. |
